Units of Sound professional v5 was released in October 2009 and will be updated regularly with minor refinements as free downloads. UofS v4 will continue to be supported until December 2010.

To benefit from the new features of UofSv5 there is a sliding scale of upgrade fees depending on how long you have had the programme and the type of license you have. UofSv5 will allow you to keep your current student records.

It should be noted that due to technical changes V4 cannot be supported on 64bit PC / server or on Windows 7. Both of these environments are supported with V5.

Units of Sound professional is supported in 2 basic configurations:

Stand Alone - installed on a single PC, typically for an independent teacher or on a portable Laptop.

Windows Server or RM CC 3 - Installed on a school network by a professional IT consultant.

If you are unsure what version of UofS you have, look at the top left of the UofS screen.

Please note that Version 4 will not work with a V5 system and V5 upgrade will not work on a V4 system. The single user upgrade will check the version you have before installing. If you have any trouble choosing your version please contact us.
